IOC Stupidity

reporters-without-borders-handcuffs

This is unreal. The IOC says that the Human Rights situation in China will improve because they gave the Olympics to China this year. Unbelievable the arrogance of the IOC. They are as bad as the UN.

It’s new, it’s bigger, and it’s the home of the Longhorns. Originally opening in 1975. After 30 years it was time for some upgrades. They are done — well mostly, crews worked into the night — and ready for Opening day. Texas will host Virginia Commonwealth in the Home Opener for Texas.

Will he stay or will he go? Most people are saying that he is out. The team is throwing a monkey wrench in the works by making unreasonable demands.

China Says Food is Safe

China is responding to claims that their food is not safe to be eaten by Olympians. Why? US is taking it’s own food.

From farm to table, authorities in Beijing say they are able to track the progress of farm animals and crops aimed for human consumption.

Oh well, there you have it. A giant inefficient bureaucracy is able to track the food. Well big whoop. I would like to see the tracking report of the 14 inch chicken breast.

Anyone remember the lead in toys from China? Does not inspire much confidence.

Can China Cope? They couldn’t handle a snow storm. It is already getting ugly over the Olympics.

And he said an anti-racism campaign launched by governing body the FIA was “not necessary”.

“All it does is give attention to people who want attention,” he said.

Thank you. Exactly what I said here: F1 to launch anti-racism campaign.

You can listen to Ecclestone’s Interview here.

Ecclestone is now being attacked by the fascists who started the “anti-racism” campaign.

Year of the Rat

The whole year is named after them on the Chinese Calendar. Too bad they don’t get any respect.

Rats target of cleanup in Beijing. Guess it’s the year of the rat in more ways than one.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China may have just ushered in the Year of the Rat, but the pesky rodents aren’t welcome in its capital. Rats are the latest target of Beijing’s efforts to present a sparkling city for the Olympics in August, with the government announcing a campaign to rid all venues of rodents.

Anyone else see the hypocrisy here?
