All Blacks Take USA Sevens Crown

The New Zealand All Blacks broke a record for wins when they defeated South Africa in the Championship match of the USA Sevens.

The New Zealanders beat South Africa 27-12 in today’s final to win their 36th straight match, having surpassed the mark of 34 consecutive victories they set in 2001-02 by defeating Kenya in the semifinals.

The All Blacks have won 6 tournaments in a row.

Some however are not impressed, and seem to delight in poking fun at the All Blacks. No doubt a wally.

I think that’s why one of the jokes calls AB a choker. Because they’re doing so well, but then comes Worldcup … well … they choked :-\

*lol* sid, I am a newcomer to Rugby so it did strike me as odd that the All Blacks had not won a Cup considering the fanaticism of their following. It is clear they dominate Sevens right now. Maybe 15 men play is not their style?

I myself am not really that great fan of rugby and only watch big games like worldcups. Always disappointed at every worldcups I’ve seen. ABs play so well in the beginning, but comes final, the “underdog” beat them :-\
