Japan’s Equestrian Hiroshi Hoketsu, 67 next month will become the oldest Japanese to be an Olympian.

He won’t be the oldest to compete, however. That honor is held by Oscar Swahn who won a medal in shooting for Sweden at 72 years, 280 days at the 1920 Antwerp games.
