Kentucky Derby Dreams

He started by setting up phones at Hollywood Park, now his is at the biggest Horse race on the planet. Jeff Harmon of Laguna Nigel, CA has a horse that was originally bought for $4500 and is in the run for Roses.

Bob Black Jack who set a World record at Santa Anita running 6 furlongs in 1:06.53, and now he is looking to best a field of multi-million dollar horses going the Thoroughbred’s Classic Distance of 1 1/4 mile. Not bad for a horse that was purchased for $4500.

Now you may be thinking that this horse has no shot, not true. Bob Black Jack finished third in the San Felipe Derby. Then went on and finished 2d to Colonel John in the Santa Anita Derby.

Can the horse pull it off? Most say no. It would be a truly great event if he did. Essentially a horse that is from the wrong side of the tracks, without the wealthy connections of the rest of the field would be an awesome feat in the Kentucky Derby.
