Once again the IOC has sided with evil. Proving once again that they are out of touch, arrogant, and self-important. The IOC has modified it’s charter to make sure that athletes do not speak out against China. Interesting how they protect China, but not America. For that matter, any other country.
IOC modifies charter to restrict athletes from speaking out against China
THE International Olympic Committee has toughened its interpretation of the Olympic Charter, informing potential Beijing Games athletes that their actions, reactions and attitudes will be scrutinised at the coming Olympics right down to their appearance, clothing, gestures and any written and oral statements.
It’s called censorship.
Athletes breaking the rules will be stripped of their Games accreditation, which doubles as the entry and exit visas for China.
In other words they just put a gun to the head of athletes to protect their friend China.
Once again the IOC is more worried about what China thinks, than about what is right or wrong. They awarded to Olympics to China because they agree with China. Now the IOC sees China getting hammered, and they rush to their defense.
It’s typical of the IOC — and other International bodies — , and it’s sickening. They are so short sighted, they can’t see how their actions affect anyone but themselves. Disgusting.
It also comes as the official Chinese news agency, Xinhua, announced that tough rules allowing for random, unannounced searches of individuals in Tiananmen Square had been imposed. “Police will be on the lookout for explosives, poisonous and radioactive articles, guns, knives, drugs and other items that pose risks to social order and public security,” it reported.
Just like it’s friend the IOC, China can be repressive as well.
